Yes, I am back on track with my weight loss

Well, I have ventured out of my subway comfort zone. I needed to find meals that would help me lose weight fast(as in.... making it come out as fast as it goes in), which you see I asked for some help here. After some comments from a sinner and a saint (ok, she is not a saint but it went well with sinner), I decided to no longer listen to others. lol Today I ate at Main Squeeze. You can mainly describe it as a Tree Hugging gathering place, that people like my coworker Paul like to hang out. So I ordered off their menu The Good Fortune Wrap which consist of tofu, brown rice, carrot, spinach, cabbage, scallions, sesame seeds, sesame ginger dressing grilled in a tortilla (yes I copied it) and then I drank a Curious George Smoothie which was made with rice milk, peanut butter, banana, ice. Tonight I am down three pounds, which I left at Wal-Mart :)

If I had more readers, I think Lane Boys Mom and Can You Hear Me Now, should have to pay me for all this plugging I am giving them ;)

OMG...teens are THE worst! I just read through your bio. And I hated the teen stage. My second youngest is 18. She traded her boyfriend's family for ours on her 17th birthday...and she WAS the angel.

Ok, now, on to your actual subject matter. Ummm I found out I have low iron and high cholesterol and have lost my mind. So I, too, am trying to eat healthier and lose weight. Up till now I hardly gave a crap. But let me tell you hearing that news makes it tons easier to stop eating crap. hehe

HUGS and good luck hun!

Oh, don't ask Lynette for my referrel cause it wouldn't be a good one coming from her. :)

The part about leaving the three pounds at walmart made me laugh. I love your blog, you have such a whimsical way of putting things into perspective. :)

I found out yesterday that I have a liver disorder where mine likes to produce 3 times the normal amount of LDL Cholesterol. As a result my levels are up around 280 which is considered extremely high risk for heart disease. I've been on the weight loss band wagon for awhile but this makes it extremely important.

I wish you much success with your loss, seeing others succeed helps me stay motivated!

Oh no Mindy, I knew you had a Dr Appt. A friend of mine just started having heart problems and is having to lose weight because of it. She is also about your age :( Awful to be young and have issues like that. Prayers.

HEY I was sooo loving you when I was listed at the saint...until you took it back, LOL I AM a saint...just ask me;) heehee

Seriously....drink lots of water, low fat/no fat....that is the way to go. That is really what Weight Watchers taught me...although they didn't teach me portion control, I don't know if anyone could ever teach me that, me likes to eat BIG FAT PORTIONS! HAHAHAHAHA

And I'm glad you left 3 pounds at WalMart....I hope you dropped it right on the floor in the uh, make up aisle...I hate WM, lol

TOFU?!?! I'm not brave enough to try that....yet! The rest of it sounds good tho!

LOL.....That sounds really gross! So, you left it @ Walmart. And which end did it leave out of!?! *lol* I have been so off track this past week I didn't even go to my weigh in this morning! :-(

I'm the sinner!! I'm the sinner!! :)

Seriously...I have lost 4 pounds this week. I don't know if it is because I am eating tuna salad on lettuce or because I started taking Zinc and Super B Complex. I have no idea....but maybe the vitamins help in weightloss.
I am glad you are losing the weight, but I so wanted to hear you sing!!

Oh...and I sinned again today. I stole a Missalette when I went to a funeral today. It isn't a sin if I am stealing the word of God, is it?!

Oh Lazy boyz, I mean Lane Boyz Mom, this place can make tofu taste really good. I forgot to mention that I even ate a slice of cake made with tofu and it was the bomb (might have been the bomb that went off at Wal-Mart)!

Sinner, what the heck is a Missalette (even my spell check doesn't recognize it)???? Off to go Google it now and see how much trouble you might be in.

See, she IS the sinner...and did you find out what that was that she jacked from the funeral? I don't have a clue!

TOFU CAKE? EWWWW

And Lazy Boyz? OMG....have you been talking to my husband? HAHAHA

A Missalette is the prayer book!! They have them in the pews and they have all the prayers/readings for three months at a time. They used to come out every month and the nuns used to let us have them to take home. That way we could practice being good little nuns/priests in the making.

Ok!! lol Boy if this was a private blog I would post a picture of a friend of mine with her husbands best friend whom is a priest. If I lived in Florida (oh isn't that were you live??) I would so be converting. He is Tall, dark and Cuban!! lol Now off to go look at that pic I have.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. When I read this morning the line about being a virgin, I thought "Oh man... that's going to get someone's fan a'fanning." I wanted to leave a comment saying "It's not what you think!"

I will totally help throw your party, though! If we were all in one general area, I'd have enough party throwing business to get me through winter!

Make sure you stop back on Friday so you can see the answer to your "dear Apple" question!

Hey Sinner, Apple Joes has a Dear Apple post, guess what I asked her. She is going to answer it Friday, so you might want to check out her blog.lol

I can't complain, my health problems are minimal compared to others. It doesn't affect my everyday life and there is a pretty good chance it may never be an issue but considering my luck and how long it is taking me to get married I dont want to imagine how long its going to take me to get pregnant! I may be 50 by the time I have my first born - LOL - need to live as long as I can. :)

I had tofu a few times while living in Atlanta. Its got this strange ability to take on the flavor of anything you add to it. If you can get over the consistancy and the fact that it's usually cut into squares it's pretty good. I don't know about you but I have a hard time eating something that takes like chicken but feels like I am eating custard.
