FRIDAY FRAGMENTS

Friday Fragments?

Saturday: I worked all day (nothing new). Staff called in for the next day (nothing new).
______________________________________________________________________

Sunday: Sick and worked all day.
______________________________________________________________________

Monday: Still feeling sick, kids all sick. Worked some. Spent alot of time laying around and coughing.

____________________________________________________________________

Tuesday: Did I work, was too sick to remember. I know I had a staff meeting which probably wasn't a good idea cause now all my staff will be sick with what I had. Mercede has been well behaved. She must be really sick!
____________________________________________________________________

Wednesday: New Years Eve, we did nothing. It was the first year my husband and I haven't had company. Normally we have at least once person over. Last year we had a whole two people. This was my first year not fixing Rum Dum. You take 2 gallons of Hawaiian Punch, 1 lg frozen lemonade can and add rum to your taste and then freeze. Serve as a slush. My father would load us kids up on that every New Years Eve! Oh I wish I could see his face right now. Okay, he didn't load us up on it, but we did have a tiny cup of it. Well, until the year I came home drunk, and he blamed giving me tiny taste of Rum Dum caused me to drink. Hello Dad, it was the 80's, 9 out of 10 teens were drinking. That was the end of Rum Dum for me, til I got married, moved out and made it myself a few years later. Now we don't drink at all, so it will just be a memoryand I guess I don't have to worry about my daughters coming home drunk cause I gave them a sip.ha ha ha
Anywho, I spent the evening reading The Memory Keepers Daughter and crying my eyes out. I didn't even notice when the clock hit 12. I was upset that I didn't have the girls bang pots and pans. I always have them do that because my Grandma did that with us.

____________________________________________________________________

Thursday: Worked cause both my day staff wanted off and that was fine with me, got a 50 dollar bonus for working 8 hours. That will buy, like a loaf of bread and a pound of apples these days.

The girls have really been into the Webkins. Unfortunately, I can tell Aysha takes after Child Husband as she likes to buy overpriced things, keep them for a small amount of time and then sell it for a much lower price.

The girls tried to tell Aysha where babies come from. Thank goodness she didn't believe their "butt" story ;)

____________________________________________________________________

Today I worked, then came home and had some game time with Child Husband before he headed out for work. We played Boggle on Wii. One of my friends joked "The Dyslexic versus the ADHD'er" Child Husband is the worst speller EVER, even worst than me, which is really bad. But yet he can beat me. It overstimulates me and I shut down.

My parents left for the warm weather for 3 months. This is the worst three months of the year cause it means I can't get them to babysit. Child Husband thinks we need to send the kids with them. I agree.

Hope you all had a great New Years Eve.

Hope you are all feeling better. We've been passing it around here too. :(

Quent and I were talking about you guys earlier. I was wondering what you had done for New Years. I ended up working a double. Wish we could have been there drinking and playing board games. :)

Your girlies are wearing lipstick (that or their lips are the kind of red I envy)! Uh oh momma, better watch out for those boys!

I hope you're feeling better! I think that place you work at is working you too hard!

Oh and I read Memory Keepers daughter and cried too. I couldn't even watch all of the movie without sobbing. It's so good though. I love Phoebe's story.

WheresMyAngels said...

Scott, you wouldn't of been allowed in with drinks, as this is a DRY house! lol

Kelsey, yep, I think the older two had lipstick on.

aaaaah....life! We banged pots and pans too. Also once I got a little tipsy off some spiked apple cider they were serving at my mom's square dance club. HA!

Hope you're feeling better super soon.

It's good to be back to blogging....even working on my broken computer to type this!

What a great post. I love the relationship you have with your Dad - its great and funny. And quite frankly I might make some of that slush myself!! I liked your memories of New Years with your grandmother banging the pots and pans. I can barely even stay up til midnight these days. Hope you got over your illness though - seems to be going around.

As for your beautiful girls - WOW!!

Hope you are feeling better! We didn't do anything for New Year's Eve either. We sat at home, watched Ryan Seacrest and saw the ball drop.

I have read The Memory Keeper's Daughter, and that book is sooo good! I loved it.

That is a good photo of your girls.

Instead of sending your kids with your parents, I think you need to slip off and go. A girl can dream, can't she?

The nerve of parents, leaving for so long, children unattended while you are buzzed up on Wii. Humph.

We love the Wii- I'll have to look into the Boggle.
Great pic- and not believing the babies from butts story? Priceless, sounds like something we need to hear.

Glad your back. It's been a week. Started the book. I am liking it. I'll let you know when the tears start rolling. I saw The Secret Life of Bees last night. I cried. I feel like I am living in the 1964 between the movie and the book.

Love the baby and butt story. Oh my. Better set them straight. And I love the picture. They look so grown up all of a sudden, what happened??

Hope you are feeling better. Don't work to hard. I have been off for two weeks and it's back to work for me on Monday!

Yup, I feel ya on the sick week. I just finished week 2 and I'm still trying to think of a creative way to breathe and how not to cough every time hubby comes in for a kiss.

I'm planning on posting their story this Wednesday unless I hear any objections from you! Let me know if there are any specific pictures you want me to use. Thanks girl!

Oh what a cute pic as always! I love the pic at the top of the girls with their arms crossed. What cuties. The post has been popular, your story is amazing. Thank you again for sharing!

I've been meaning to get back to you abuot Dallyn. His mom hasn't answered my texts and I don't want to bug her. I would have heard if anything went terribly wrong. I'm going to the hospital to visit tomorrow. I'll post an update on kidz.

Hope you're feeling better! This 1st week of the new year has just about did me in. I had such high expectations for myself!
