A billion years ago

My mother was born on this day. Ok, not a billion years, but it was a long time ago. I can't tell you how many years , cause I, ummmmmmmmmmmm, can't remember how old my mother is today. But trust me, she is really, really old!!

ha ha Just joking mom, well not about forgetting how old you are. I don't remember that. Try to remember that, when it comes to my birthday !

My mother is the hardest person in our family to get a good picture of, because this is what she typically looks like in a photo.
Now I looked on my fathers blog to find photo's of my mother. My parents are retired and travel alot. Dad post photo's of their travels on his new blog. Mom, dad can really catch you with some odd facial expressions. I swear you said you liked the sheep, but maybe this is the 1000th photo father has snapped because you look like your going to snap! I'm not sure what he was thinking with this photo either, and I can tell your thinking the same thing. Now I will give dad credit as this is a good photo of you. Tell dad to get out the tripod to take photo's of the both of you at the same time, I know that makes you happy cause you keep hoping he'll trip over the legs of it and break that Cannon into a million pieces, so you don't have to be tortured by hearing dad say constantly "Open your eyes, Viola" Growing up, I always wished you dressed younger and more stylist. Having grown up, I find myself borrowing your outfits, never to give them back You know I wear this outfit like once a week Someday we will have to play Scrabble again Mom, your the best, your always there when I need you and you have the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. But there are some times I get upset with you. Like when you leave Missouri for Texas three months out of the year leaving me no babysitter, when you road trip to Maine, go to Branson,

and
when you attend parties where there's a MALE policeman.
I remember the time I told you a dirty joke and you got upset saying you were really going to have to pray extra that night. So mom, how hard did you have to pray after that party? I couldn't resist mom!

Happy Birthday to one of the most important people in my life. I look up to you so much. Your everything a Christian should be
I know you prayed hard after that party, hee hee, your caring, non-judgemental, a role model and so many other great things that I just can't think of at 1:30am in the morning.

I love you and wish you many more.

Oh that was beautiful, even shed a little tear. Seems like you have a fantastic relationship with your parents too. Anyone who can joke with their parents like that has to. Tell your mother I know what she feels like with the photos - I have to get 300 taken to find one decent one too. But these one are brilliant of her so your Dad is doing ok. Great, fun post.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

PS You know that means that now your Dad has a blog they will get you back don't you? LOL!!
